Glide -> Sometimes words make sense, and I think the word "glide" conveys what this number means. To make our lives easier, most disc brands will group their discs into categories based on speed. If you throw it faster than the speed#, then the HSS# will be lowered(turn more)ĭiscs can be between speeds 1 - 15. If you don't throw a disc fast enough, the discs HSS# will be higher(turn less). By "as intended" I mean for the disc to fly as the final two numbers say it will. Speed -> Speed refers to how fast you have to throw a disc in order for it to fly as intended. Flight numbers usually appear in the same format -> ( Speed, Glide, HSS, LSS). Without explaining the ins and outs, here is a super basic overview of flight numbers. This is a long post, so I recommend jumping to the parts you are interested in instead of diving into the whole thing. Just a few sites that keep track of this sort of thing and allow you to easily compare discs.
